ISO Tank Containers: Technical Services and Inspection for Safe Transportation
ISO tank containers are standardized tank containers designed for the safe and hygienic transportation of liquid, gaseous, or chemical materials. Due to the sensitive nature of these tanks, performing technical services and conducting periodic, specialized inspections before each loading or transport operation is absolutely essential.
ISO Tank Inspection Services
This section involves a thorough inspection of the tank’s structure, valves, discharge and pressure systems, tank body, and compliance with safety standards. Technical inspection of ISO tanks is carried out by international cargo inspection companies and includes the following steps:
Visual and structural inspection of the ISO tank
Inspection before and after transportation operations
Checking the tank’s compatibility with the cargo type
ISO tank pressure testing to ensure no leakage
Safety checkup of the tank based on international standards
ISO Tank Cleaning and Certification
After each use, ISO tanks must be thoroughly cleaned to prepare for the next shipment. The ISO tank cleaning certificate is one of the key documents required before new loading. These services include:
ISO tank cleaning with official documentation and verification
Issuance of CIP/SIP (Cleaning/Sterilization in Place) certificates
Health certificates for transporting food-grade or pharmaceutical materials
Cleaning certificates for T50 and 20-foot ISO tanks
Certification issued by authorized inspection centers
Types of ISO Tanks and Their Applications
ISO tanks are produced in various sizes and for different uses, depending on the type of material being transported. Some common types include:
ISO tanks for chemical liquids
ISO tanks for compressed gases
ISO tanks for food-grade materials
Standard 20-foot ISO tank containers
ISO Tank Manufacturers and Pricing in Iran
Globally, various well-known brands are recognized as ISO tank manufacturers. In Iran, there are active companies offering import, sale, or rental services for ISO tanks. ISO tank prices in Iran vary based on the brand, volume, intended use, and condition of the tank.
What Is a Flexitank and How Is It Different from an ISO Tank?
A flexitank is a polymer liner installed inside a standard container, used to transport non-hazardous liquids such as edible oils or industrial fluids. In contrast, ISO tanks are designed for hazardous, chemical, or pressurized materials, offering much greater durability and safety compared to flexitanks.
Why Is ISO Tank Inspection Important?
Specialized inspections—such as ISO container checks, periodic inspections of insulated tanks, and ISO tank certifications—are essential not only for cargo safety but also for compliance with international transport standards. Partnering with a reputable inspection company ensures the quality, safety, and compliance of your international logistics operations.
Whether you're involved in chemical exports or food/pharmaceutical imports, the use of standard ISO tanks combined with technical services, cleaning, and official inspection certifications is a core requirement. We are here to support you by offering professional services to ensure the safest transport path for your valuable cargo.
